EVHUB PARTICIPATES IN LAND
TRANSPORT AUTHORITY'S
TRANSPORT FESTIVAL 2011
June 2011
Singapore's Land Transport Authority houses the Land
Transport Gallery which showcases the history of Singapore's
transport development. Together with the National Heritage
Board, a festival was held over each Sunday in June to
educate the public about the past, present and future of
Singapore's transport system.
evHUB was invited to present a showcase of electric vehicles
giving the public a sense of the types of vehicles that will
provide clean transport solutions in the near future.
Student volunteers from NUS's engineering school were on
hand to educate the public about electric vehicles and how
they can be easily charged while lucky participants were
able to get free rides on a converted Porsche 911 cabriolet
as well as a converted Renault Kangoo electric van.
The public were also invited to try the various 2 & 3 wheel
electric bicycles as well as the star of the festival - the
New Zealand designed YikeBike which has been receiving raves
around the world as an innovative last mile transport
solution for increasingly congested modern cities.
