The inaugural Cleantech COP Networking Lunch was sponsored
by Singapore Polytechnic’s Clean Energy Competence Centre
and held at SP’s Dover Campus on Feb. 26, 2010. evHUB
proudly sponsored the 2nd COP Lunch which was held at
InnoVillage@SP – SP’s new Academia-R&D-Industry Ecosystem
for Multi-Disciplinary Innovation. Over 100 participants
attended from various organizations in Singapore with a
common goal to actively search for clean sustainable
solutions to our global environmental issues.
The event was chaired by Mr. Desmond Lim, Centre Director of
SP’s Clean Energy Competence Centre while the welcome speech
was presented by SP Principal, Mr. Tan Hang Cheong. evHUB’s
managing director, Mr. David Chou, gave the keynote speech
outlining evHUB’s role in integrating green solutions. He
strongly encouraged all participants to speak out on the
issues they faced in trying to get their organizations to go
green and to work together to find solutions. After the
speeches were done, the principal officially launched the
COP blog, the platform upon which the community can voice
and share their green concerns.
The second part of the event saw evHUB’s all electric
Porsche formally unveiled by the SP Principal at the
InnoVillage main entrance. He was then taken for a test
drive around the campus proving that electric vehicles can
be fast, sexy and green! Meanwhile the guests were eagerly
viewing the converted BMW and Renault EVs which were also on
display.
The networking lunch followed thereafter and evHUB’s
engineers proudly displayed their Green Car Aircon kit to
the participants.
