To launch SIWW 2011 (Singapore Int'l Water Week) the first big event was the Opening of the Punggol and Serangoon Reservoir which was graced by many VIPs including Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan (Minister of Environment & Water Resources), Dr. Ahmed Rashid Beebeejaun (Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius), DPM Teo Chee Hean (Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Home Affairs), and Ms. Penny Low (Member of Parliament).

The YikeBike was invited by the PUB (Public Utilites Board) to be prominently featured during the launch as a clean & sustainable form of transport thats also fun in line with their ABC (Active-Beautiful-Clean) campaign!
