MORE FEATURES ON GREEN CAR AIRCON (GCA)

evHUB has deployed and tested the GCA extensively on both electric as well as ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles.  Both categories of vehicles demonstrated significant improvements to range and power after installation.

ICE Vehicles

Fuel Saving and comfort

The main fuel consumption reduction in GCA particular noticeable in city driving, braking and stopping are frequent. Especially in hot, cold or damp conditions, the conventional HVAC components could cause problems.

This is because taking heat energy from the engine and other mechanical energy via the belt drive to compressor, which are both required to maintain cabin comfort can have significant effect on engine operation, as HVAC system suffer poor cooling performance at low engine idle speed. Thus the user will expect the increase in fuel consumption. For such situation, the GCA is the only choice for maintaining the same comfort levels throughout the city driving regardless of climate temperature, as the GCA compressor runs independently of the engine speed.

The reduced mechanical load on the car also results in a quieter and smoother ride.

Unlike the conventional system, the motoring enthusiast will be thrilled to know that he/she can now enjoy the aircon’s full cooling comforts without having to sacrifice power and noise.

With modern no-idling engine laws being passed around the world, you will not have to suffer in the stifling heat as a result of having to switch off your car engine when the vehicle is not moving. An optional remote control kit allows you to activate the GCA unit and cool the car on a hot day prior to getting in -  a big comfort boost for those living in the tropics.

Electric Vehicles

Managing an EV’s power consumption is crucial to achieving a practical driving range. Traditional belt-driven aircon compressors place a considerable amount of load on the traction batteries.  This significantly reduces the effective range of the EV.  The GCA’s smart energy management system will optimize the vehicle’s energy usage resulting in great cooling efficiency with minimal loss to traction power, effectively extending the range of any EV.

Maintenance Free

Conventional HVAC system must be refilled every 3 to 4 years. This is because of refrigerant leakage. 3 possible sources of leakage:

1) Imperfect connections
2) Permeable flexible hoses
3) Compressor lip seal.

The GCA compressor does not use a lip seal or face seal, thus, the total leakage is reduced.  Therefore GCA system maintenance could almost be eliminated.

Go Green Today

The GCA allows you to cut down emissions for combustion vehicles without compromising comfort and functionality -  this is the future of automotive air conditioning!

** For the GCA to be safely and securely installed, a minimum amount of space in the engine compartment will be required. Our engineers will be able to inspect and ascertain whether the GCA can be properly installed into your vehicle. **
